George Stables of Wath (1846-1919)

George was born at Harlington in 1846, the son of William (b. 1811 Barnburgh) and his wife Elizabeth. George married Jane Mellows at Basford in 1873.

The Will of George Stables - Dated 1912

THIS IS THE LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT of me GEORGE STABLES of 12 High Street Wath upon Dearne in the County of York made this seventeenth day of January one thousand nine hundred and twelve I give to my daughter Charlotte my piano & cheffionier I give devise & bequeath all the rest of my real & personal estate unto my wife Jane during her life & upon the decease of my said wife the remaining portion of my real & personal estate shall be equally divided between my two sons George & James Albert & my said daughter Charlotte And I direct that in case any dispute shall arise as to any article or property such article or property shall be put up & sold by public auction & the net proceeds equally divided amongst them And I appoint my said wife Sole EXECUTRIX of this my will AS WITNESS my hand the day & year first above written.

said Testator so left unadministered
