A memorial of indentures of lease and release bearing dates respectively the ninth and tenth days of November in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and sixty one the lease made or mentioned to be made between John Gibson late of Pudsey in the county of York Yeoman on the one part and William Stephenson of Pudsey in the county of York aforesaid Clothier and James Stephenson son of the said William Stephenson of the other part and the release made or mentioned to be made between Henry Stables of Knottingley in the county of York Gentleman of the first part the said John Gibson of the second part the said William Stephenson and James Stephenson of the third part and Henry Stables the younger of Knottingley aforesaid Gentleman of the fourth part of and concerning all that messuage or tenement situate and being in Pudsey aforesaid in the county of York with the outbuildings foldsteads and hereditaments and appurtenances thereto belonging and formerly in the tenure or occupation of John Pearson and late his estate and the reversion and reversions remains and remainders rents issues and profits thereof and every part and parcel thereof which said indentures are severally witnessed by John Bingley of Knottingley aforesaid Gentleman and Sarah Bingley his wife

A memorial of an indenture of mortgage bearing date the twenty second day of February in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and sixty two and made or mentioned to be made between Henry Stables of Knottingley in the county of York Gentleman of the first part John Gibson now of Pudsey late of Armley in the parish of Leeds in the said county of York Yeoman of the second part and the Reverend Joseph Armitage of Wakefield in the said county of York Clerk of the third part of and concerning all those cottages or tenements situate standing and being in Armley aforesaid in the tenure or occupations of John Eddison and Edward Dickenson together with all and singular the appurtenances thereto belonging which said indenture is witnessed by John Bingley of Knottingley in the county of York Gentleman and Sarah Bingley his wife as to the execution thereof by the said Henry Stables John Gibson and also the execution thereof by the said Joseph Armitage is witnessed by Jonathon Ward of Wakefield aforesaid Gentleman and George Beevers of the same place Yeoman sealed and signed in the presence of John Bingley Sarah Bingley John Gibson signed and sealed in the presence of the said Joseph Armitage

I Henry Stables of Knottingley in the County of York Gentleman Do make this my last Will & Testament as follows I Give & Devise unto my Daughter Elizabeth Stables & to her Heirs for Ever All that my Messuage Tenement or Dwelling house Standing & being in the Shoe Market in Pontefract in the said County of York wherein Mrs Motherby now Dwells And Whereas I have formerly Given her the Sum of Five hundred Pounds now I Do hereby Give unto her the further Sum of Three hundred & ffifty pounds to be paid her within Twelve Months next after my Decease by my Executor hereafter named And I do hereby Charge all my real Estate hereafter named with the payment of the said Sum of Three hundred & ffifty pounds to my said Daughter as aforesaid in Case my personal Estate by any Accident shall happen to be deficient And for Nonpayment of the said Sum of Three hundred & ffifty pounds to my said Daughter as aforesaid I Do hereby Give her full power & absolute Authority to Enter into all or any part of my said Real Estate hereafter mentioned & the same to hold & Enjoy till she is fully paid & Satisfied the said Sum of Three hundred & ffifty pounds with all Interest & Costs on Account thereof Also I Give & Devise unto my Son Henry Stables & to his Heirs for Ever All my Messuages Tenements Houses Cottages Closes Lands Hereditaments & Premises with the Appurtenances Situate Standing lying & being in Knottingley aforesaid Darrington & Norton in the said County of York Subject nevertheless to & chargeable with the payment of the said Sum of Three hundred & ffifty pounds to my said Daughter as aforesaid And all my Goods Chattels & Personal Estate not hereinbefore Disposed of I Give unto my said Son Henry Stables And all the rest & residue of my real Estate I Give unto my said Son Henry Stables & to his Heirs for Ever And I Do hereby Nominate Constitute & Appoint my said Son Henry Stables sole Executor of this my last will & Testament hereby Revoking all former & other Wills heretofore Made by me In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand & Seal the Twenty seventh Day of February in the year of our Lord One Thousand seven hundred & Sixty Five.
